Univision Ad Boasts (In English) About Beating NBC In February Sweeps

This has gotta sting for NBC. Univision is touting its fourth-place finish ahead of NBC in the February sweeps with a new ad you can watch below. It’s the first time the Spanish-language network has beaten NBC and the first time it has come in fourth place in an in-season sweep. Univision previously came in ahead of CBS in July of 2010 and 2012. NBC’s fifth place for February is quite a reversal of fortune for the Peacock network, which only a couple months ago won its first November sweeps since 2003.

  • Way to go Univision. This gringo says, keep telling the truth and you will beat the uber left media every time. The truth sells and they lie.

  • I watched the 2012 Summer Olympics on NBC. And I watched a couple Sunday Night Football games.

But otherwise it has been years since I’ve watched anything else on that network. Never watch any news or entertainment programming — it’s all propaganda anyway.

Of course the other networks are not great either — they just don’t suck as bad.

  • SNL hasn’t been able to hold a candle to Sabado Gigante since the original cast left. NBC — the No Body Cares network.

  • They shouldn’t pick on NBC.

(For the same reason you don’t “boo” at the Special Olympics.)

And where exactly did the even dumber MSNBC come in on the ratings chart? Did they talk to their viewer?

  • Way to go Univision – i hope NBC goes to hell. They are the definition of “state run” media – the mouth piece of the DNC

  • Hey Univision, maybe you could do the sane thing the english networks do. Hit the sap button, and hear your broadcasts in english. Should be a two way street, like the other networks are doing..

  • Good going Univision, you need an English language division for programing. Bet it would sell well, we are all tired of the alphabet channels and the crap they broadcast…

  • Good. Though I don’t speak Spanish, I’d much rather watch Univision than NBC any day of the week. At least their news anchors have the balls to ask Obama the tough questions no one else seems to.
