  • This was awful. The New Yorker writers and illustrators are genuine tastemakers; but, if the company approved this, it may just have become a follower.

    • This was some crazy english; however, I like it very much. And bravo to the young artist whose show is genuine, tasteful.

  • Loved “tiny furniture” but have to say I’m getting Lena Dunham fatigue.

  • She’s reminding me more and more of Ross McElwee, except his narcissism was much more tolerable because it was more or less confined to one two and a half hour documentary. This Dunham lady just keeps going and going and going and going.

  • Yikes. Do they think New Yorker readers are luddites? How condescending can you get?

  • Ok it wasn’t great but it does the trick. People who think she’s talented are going to watch this and get the New Yorker app. I want it.

    • Well, I like her TV show, but thought this was dreadful. Embarrassingly so.

  • YIKES! Who knew Jon Hamm could be made unwatchable? I had to stop at 1:30 in. What a shame that this will get so many views while content with real entertainment value will languish in obscurity.

    • i couldnt agree more. i stopped at 1:30 also. Up until this very morning i loved jon hamm in everything. something changed in me after seeing this.

lena dunham. where do i begin? everyone sees her as the second coming of everything but she reminds me of every self important girl in college who thought the world revolved around them. her writing is astonishingly good but she just drives me nuts. i fully recognize im in the minority here. [pours more bourbon into coffee]

on a positive note, i do like the new yorker and will use the app in spite of this video.

    • You guys beat me. I stopped at 1:19 before I quickly realized all the things I wasn’t doing with my life by watching this. Brava Lena!

  • Great Job! Very Tim and Eric-esque but Lena is beautiful, intelligent and het wit is razor sharp.
