Charlie Sheen’s ‘Anger Management’ Drops In Second Week
Last night’s episode of Charlie Sheen’s Anger Management dropped significantly from its debut week on FX. Thursday’s 9:30 PM episode of Anger was down 35% in Adults 18-49. The former Two And A Half Men star’s new show’s third episode also dropped 38% in total viewers from last week’s double episode premiere. Thursday night’s Anger Management had 1.71 million viewers in the 18-49 demo as opposed to last week’s 2.65 million. In total viewers, the show pulled in 3.37 million in contrast to last week’s 5.47 million. On the upside, those are still very healthy numbers for cable and the new episode rose 44% in adults 18-49 and 55% in total viewers from its encore 9 PM lead-in. With all the hype and promotion around Anger Management’s debut it was inevitable the numbers would drop. The question is, when will they stabilize? For Anger Management that’s a question with a potential deadline. The series, produced by Lionsgate Television in conjunction with Revolution Studios, Evolution Entertainment, Mohawk Productions and Estevez Sheen Productions, has a 10-90 deal with FX. The network made a 10-episode initial order. If the show hits certain ratings targets, FX will make a 90-episode renewal that takes Anger Management to broadcast syndication levels.
It’s not a good show. That shouldn’t confuse people. I watched the first episode and decided to never watch it again. Just silly. Silly needs to be on CBS right beside Big Bang. Silly doesn’t work for FX audiences.
It needed 1 1/2 more men.
Doesn’t shock me since the show is god-awful. Tried watching it, but I was struggling. Makes 2 1/2 Men look like All in the Family by comparions. Plus, what’s with the cast? Besides Sheen, there’s no star power. Seriously Selma Blair and the kid who played Harry in the dumb and dumber sequel? not to mention it’s annoying music that pumps around in every transition and ‘punchline’. FX usually makes some good choices- Louie and Sunny, but this show is dead on arrival.
Give Charlie a break. He’s very intelligent and he deserves a chance. I hope they don’t drop him. I purposely ordered FX last week so I could watch his show. I hope they don’t shoot it down. That means calling Direct TV and canceling FX. I wish he was one of the networks instead of FX and at an earlier time. It’s an added $15.00 a month. I’m praying for you Charlie! You’re a lot smarter than Aston Kucher.
No surprise here. Stick a fork in Sheen. And Helford too. Hope they saved their money.
“unheard of” Jed? It’s actually been done before, dipshit.
Sheen has the best comedic timing on television and this show works well and he is again so endearing!
Keep it going!
Those ratings are still awesome for FX. And you have to remember a lot of the online “push” was gone simply due to the holiday. I’m sure they will kick big promotion back into high gear for the upcoming week. If the ratings stay anywhere close to what they were this week, the show is golden. By far still a success for FX. 7 more episodes to go and if all of them come in this way, then the show will get get its pick up. On another note, the last episode was by far the best of the three. I figured the show would start to find its flow after a while and it looks like ep 3 might be the start of that. I wish FX, Sheen and the show itself success.
Spidey needed at least 1 talking teddy bear to be watchable.
Total crap crap crap.
Begining of the death spiral.
These execs should watch out.
