  • Now I will def. watch this show, she was amazing on LOST, one only fav. reasons to watch that show. She is such an incredible actress with so much range, not to mention that she’s beautiful.

    Can’t wait!

  • Great addition to the cast.
I have a feeling though that if she appears only in flashbacks in the 1st season, this will be another show where its season ends with someone calling “Mom?”..

    • Did you watch/read the pilot? She doesn’t just appear in flashbacks.

        • According to Tv Guide, the Rachel character has been revamped and only appears in flashbacks now.

  • So I guess that means she won’t be on Revenge, that’s to bad. I have a bad feeling with Revolution… Elizabeth Mitchell has already tried this sort of genre and didn’t work out too well for her. I really hope this doesn’t turn up to be the next V or Terra Nova.

    • Good. She was too young for Revenge.

  • all forms of energy have ceased to exist.

Seriously, people? Kinetic energy? Chemical energy? Thermal energy? You can’t get rid of all energy unless you cast Kristen Stewart.

    Sorry. Cheap shot.

  • The premise of the show uses a conceit to strip society of technology so they do a cheap rip off of Lost. They don’t care that it’s impossible si get rid of all forms of energy or that even without electricity and nuclear that solar and kinetic energy would be enough to get society back.

These are guys who piss their pants when there’s a rolling blackout because their home theaters don’t work. They have no idea how people live.

Which is why this show will be done by Christmas.

    • This show looks nothing like “Lost.”

All forms of energy hasn’t disappeared; it is only electricity. That’s just a bad description that hasn’t stopped being circled around.

    • Is it really that hard to figure out that by “all energy,” they mean the sort of energy that powers buildings and cars, not all natural forms of energy? Really, that hard?

It’s just easier in the description to not make this distinction.

Let’s also assume that they would consult with a scientist or two. Why wouldn’t they?

Assuming this show is done right, it could go on for seasons on end. The United States is a big country, and this only appears to capture a small number of people. Lots of potential for natural cast changes as the series goes on.

  • She was the only strong female character on LOST. Hope she’s given a meaty female role again.

  • I’ve read the pilot script. To some degree they really do address the concepts of kinetic and solar energy, versus electric or even nuclear energy. Obviously they’re not gonna give the whole show’s big mysterious concept up in the pilot with a full explanation (duh), but they do address those issues and carve a mythology out with some rules and some dangling issues that should set them up for a full sci fi action drama series’ first season.

Don’t hate on a show based on 3 sentences worth of description. What I read more than worked on the page … hoping it works as an edited product.

    • @readthepilotscript

I’m not sure kinetic energy means what you think it means.
