Hot Trailer: ‘Arbitrage’
The Nicholas Jarecki-directed drama stars Richard Gere as a hedge-fund magnate who is in over his head, desperately trying to complete the sale of his trading empire before the depths of his fraud are revealed. Also starring are Susan Sarandon, Tim Roth, Brit Marling and Nate Parker. Arbitrage is being distributed by Lionsgate and Roadside Attractions and is set for a September 14 release in theaters and on VOD. Here’s the clip:
This and beast of the southern wild were the Best films of sundance this year. Gere was brilliant in this, and I was not a fan before.
Angel’s back! Great to see Stuart Margolin working. Whatever happened to that Rockford TV reboot that was in the works a few years back? ‘Arbitrage’ looks promising.
It looks alright. Though, I can’t help thinking that it looks like a less funny, more white version of The Bonfire of the Vanities. The book. Not the movie.
Release date is 9/14…theatrical and iTunes. I don’t get the iTunes portion of this. Gere is seriously an Oscar contender in this role. It was the best film I have ever seen at Sundance…5 years running. I have never been a fan of Gere either…he is just outstanding in this. Nate Parker is also fantastic. Do you think the iTunes release will hurt the chances of any Oscar buzz for Gere?
Saw it at Sundance. Movie is excellent! Best performance of Richard Gere’s career. Hope he gets attention for this
Rich people suck — hooray! Ugh…
Kinda looks good though, I’ll see it.
Looks good. Glad to see Gere back.
This looks like a 1980′s movie of the week thriller. Pedestrian, at best.
More juvenile anti-capitalist bullshit starring you guessed it: has-been multi-millionaire liberal “one percenters” who…work for corporations and have investments in hedge funds. Hilarious.
Saw Arbitrage at Sundance and really liked it. Missed Gere and loved seeing Margolin. Heard he was up for the Dad’s part in reboot of Rockford. They didn’t cast him and the pilot flopped. Stupid move. The fans of RF would have tuned in just to see him.
