‘Breaking Dawn Part 2′ Reshoots Announced
Director Bill Condon whose next-to-final filmĀ Breaking Dawn Part 1 received the Twilight Saga’s worst reviews has posted on Facebook that Twilighters are heading back to Vancouver. They will grab some pickup shots for additional technical work on The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn Part 2. Condon goes out of his way to emphasize that there are no “new scenes or dialogue.” Here’s the post:
Hello Twihards!
Greetings from Los Angeles, where we’re hard at work on BREAKING DAWN, PART TWO. It’s truly crazy to think that it’s been a year since we wrapped production in
Vancouver, since for those of us in the editing room the work has never stopped.
A film is a lot like a puzzle, with each piece – each shot, no matter how brief – needing to fit exactly with the ones around it. Our Part Two puzzle is finally coming into full view, and in a few weeks we’ll be heading back north to pick up some additional shots – the last tiny missing pieces. We’re not shooting any new scenes or dialogue, just some technical work with some of our cast and stunt actors.
I am really looking forward to being back on set with some of the friends I’ve made on my Twilight journey, like the great Guillermo Navarro, our cinematographer, and his crew. And yes, Rob and Kristen will be there too, to pop in those gold contacts one last time…
I’m excited to report that before too long we’ll have another trailer for you to decode. And wait until you see the first posters — they’re unlike any “Twilight” images you’ve seen before. And then November 16th will be upon us and the final film will be yours!
Until then, have a very happy spring, and I’ll check back in with you soon.

Ah, he’s lucky to have Navarro.
An artist, a total pro and a very nice guy.
Not enough sparkling , needed some extra alpaca closeup shots.
“Were not shooting any new scenes” That’s what they all say.
Just an observation that I have made from all her interviews – maybe they need to re-shoot some of Kristen’s scenes because she kept saying “F*ck” – and it wasn’t really in the script. She really IS a foul-mouthed little actress. Just an observation – but you’ll tell me I’m just being a prude.
They need to reshoot the scenes where Jacob forgot to take his shirt off.
Didn’t Rob Pattinson cut his hair and grow a beard?
Don’t care about this franchsie anymore. The movies are so bad and the act? Horrifying. Thank God it’s ending. Can’t believe they messed up my favorite series so badly.
Kate, I so agree. I have not been a hater of this story either. I actually enjoyed the first film. It was well done, both stylistically and storywise. I even enjoyed Moon and Eclipse if to a lesser degree. That said BD was a total piece of crap! I was cringing and rolling my eyes from the get-go. I didn’t buy any of it – not the vogue wedding or sexy wedding nights. It was just embarrassing. I’m sorry for anyone looking forward to the final installment. How undemanding their taste levels must be. Like Kardashian low.
Each is entitled to their own opinion.
Funny, none of the other films looked like anyone spent a year in the Editing room…………….maybe since it’s the last one someone decided to make a bit of effort.
Haven’t we moved on to The Hunger Games? Over it.
I haven’t moved onto The Hunger Games. If you have, fine. Some of us remember the beauty of these films and what they meant. Talk about forgetting the original as something new comes along.
Cheap.
