Who’s Behind Twitter’s @ParamountFilms?

Hmm, I’m told it’s a multtalented actor-writer-director-producer angry at the studio. @ParamountFilms was set up two weeks ago:

twitterNot since we released Breakfast At Tiffany’s has Paramount been prouder to bring yellow face 2 cinemas with our fantastic The Last Airbender

Opening July 2 is a movie we @ Paramount are very proud of, The Last Airbender. See white kids pretending to be Asian in glorious fake 3-D!

Get use to these. If we at Paramount get our way, this is the only way you’ll be able to see movies in theaters http://twitpic.com/1o4fob

We @ Paramount Are proud 2 say that we’re sitting on loads of cash thanks to Iron Man 2. None of that cash will be going to make Anchorman 2

We have decided that if Will and Adam pay for Anchorman 2 out of their own pocket, we’ll release it. The ball is in your court @ghostpanther

We at Paramount are proud to announce that every film we release from now on will be in 3D! Why? To get more money from you dummies.

We @ Paramount are proud to announce that we have just green lit a reboot of 48 Hours starring @bowwow & @ZachEfron directed by Brett Ratner

We at Paramount are proud to announce that we just signed Mike Meyers to write and star in the sequel to his comedy classic The Love Guru!

Instead of funding Anchorman 2 we are doing a reboot of Hot Rod starring @danecook to be written & directed @andydick for release next year!

To all who are upset about about us not green lighting Anchorman 2, we at Paramount say screw you! We have more reboots to fund instead!!

  • A) Adam McKay
    B) Will Ferrell
    c) Paul Rudd
    D) Steve Carell
    E) Judd Apatow
    F) All of the Above

Personally, I wouldn’t put it past the ghost of that Most Honorable Gentlemen– Bernie Brillstein– to suddenly appear in Brad Grey’s boudoir one night… For the sole purpose of slapping some sense into his one-time protege.

    • All of the above are way too funny to have posted these. Did you honestly laugh when you read these? That’s impossible. This is a non story.

    • Don’t see why Carell would be throwing a co-star like Dane Cook under the bus like this. Will Ferrell probably wouldn’t slag on a fellow SNL alum like Mike Myers. Also, Andy Dick is friends with some of the “Frat Pack” crew, appearing in movies like Old School and Knocked Up. I’m thinking this is someone else in some misguided attention whoring. They’re not wise enough to realize that if you want to bring people to your cause, don’t bring in the names of people who did nothing to you(and in fact are friendly with those you’re trying to help) and insult them unprovoked.

  • Well Will when you keep making movies for you and your friends and say They can join us or not then expect for studio to be leery. The best movies I think you have been involved in is the ones with little fanfare. I loved step brothers and the goods. One I caught at the drive inn the other late at night. With each there was a build to craziness.

  • Reboot and/or sequel sound the same to me how about an original never been done before? Unless Anchorman 2 is with a gray haired crippled with lung cancer anchors and loads of hot new people its just another tired old sequel being shoved down our throats!

The questions we should to ask is do the people who make movies see and pay for the movies( at the box office) or is everyone going to the premiere and then clamoring( promoting the hell out of some of this shit) but never paying to see it themselves? If my movie came out I’d be the first one buying the most tickets. Stop hawking the crap( unless you pay for it yourselves) and go to the movies and stop getting your studio and free copies sent to your homes!! Go to the movies people ’cause Hollywood needs the bucks!!!

  • We @ Anchorman 2 are proud to present inherently funny 70s sideburns — yes funny in and of themselves.
And rambling improv shamelessly disguised as comic invention.
And ramshackle plotting that’s not disguised as anything at all. (It’s ramshackle, bro – that’s the point!)
And indulgent man-child giggling that wears thin very quickly unless you’ve qualified for medical marijuana.

  • I sincerely doubt it’s a “multi-talented actor-writer-director-producer” because then it would at least be funny.
